Pioneering British heritage coffee brand Kenco is transforming the way consumers make their favourite hot beverages at home with the launch of Kenco Duo from 23rd September 2019.
More and more consumers are drinking coffee to enjoy the taste and experience rather than just for a functional caffeine boost[1], which is driving retail sales for high quality coffe shop-style beverages that can be conveniently enjoyed at home[2]. Creating a new segment within the coffee category, Kenco Duo comprises two quality ingredients in a fully recyclable pot enabling consumers to craft their chosen beverage easily and without expensive machinery. Its unique two-step method replicates the technique used by professional baristas. Consumers simply mix the milk element with boiling water to make a milky froth before preparing a rich espresso separately in the handy pot to pour over, creating that signature coffee-shop-swirl. 100% recyclable, Kenco has ensured all packaging elements can be collected through household recycling collections across the UK.
The Latte is the most popular hot drink ordered in UK coffee shops, followed by Cappuccino, and Flat White ranks as the fourth most purchased beverage style[3]Kenco Duo is bringing Britain’s favourite coffee drinks home. Available in three variants, Latte, Cappuccino and Flat White and priced at £3.49 RRP[4] per pack of six servings.
Kenco’s biggest product launch since Millicano, Duo’s unique format aims to introduce new shoppers to the category and encourage existing shoppers to trade up for an elevated experience via the trusted Kenco brand. Having secured listings across a number of major grocery and online retailers, to raise consumer awareness of this revolutionary new format Kenco is supporting the release with a £4million media campaign, including TV, digital, in-store and out of home activation.
